Wilderness Oaks RV Resort offers a great experience for those seeking Texas RV camping opportunities along the Gulf Coast. Located just a few blocks from the gulf, outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy fishing, boating, beaches, photography, hiking, and biking. There are tons of great attractions nearby – including the Corpus Christi, Rockport/Fulton, Aransas Pass & Port Aransas areas.

During the summer the park has family activities: campfires with S’mores, movie nights, ice cream socials, Saturday night BINGO and a pancake breakfast every Sunday morning. Our new summer Activities Coordinator has lots of new activities planned for you and your family!

During the winter months, you can join in our many community events, including holiday dinners, potlucks, musical performances, karaoke, dances, exercise & craft classes, Friday night BINGO and trips to nearby attractions.

My wife and I have been traveling since 2017 and been to a lot of campgrounds. Wilderness Oaks is by far the best. The management and staff are the best I've ever seen. Great people and lots to do. Can't wait to go back in November.

The park was clean and friendly. Good walking for the dogs. It is about 3 miles out of town and the highway did not have great shoulders for biking. The beach in town was nice, but there is a fee to drive in and park.

Great winter stay. Four months at the site and we met many welcoming people. Staff was always endlessly friendly and helpful. A variety of sites, some beneath spreading oaks and others open to the sky. Starlink and ATT device were excellent. FHU and grounds maintenance. The place is close to Hwy 35, which is busy, and a small airport with frequent single-engine traffic, so there are mechanical noises in the background. It is also on the Gulf Coast, so there is more humidity than I am used to. That last being said, the weather was mostly pleasant! Very dog friendly, with two parks and walking trails out back. Deer, chickens, flocks of some turkey-like fowl and plenty of squirrels and hawks. Heated outdoor pool, clubhouse with pool tables and workout room, event space, firepit, laundry area and two bathhouses. Holiday events, weekly events and plenty of outings. Rockport is close by, with a small market within biking distance and downtown only a few miles off (20-30m on eBikes riding along the shoreline.) A bit further afield is Corpus Christi, Padre Island and other area attractions. Very much a reasonably-priced winter layover with friendly service and good times.
